Visit the Lighthouse Creativity Lab to see making in schools first hand. Tours are a great way to see what making looks like integrated into a classroom. We will discuss the Lighthouse Creativity Lab program, see making in at least one K-12 class, learn about our professional development for educators, answer questions, and hear a little about your plans. Tours are either focused on Elementary School or Middle and High School.
Check out and register for our available tour dates (this link goes to our Eventbrite profile which has both tours and professional development opportunities).
Not available on the dates above? Click here to schedule a private tour for yourself or organization. We will accommodate you to the best of our abilities.
Hi There,
My name is Jackie and I’m contacting you today because I would love to get involved with lighthousecreativitylab.org and hopefully write an article which you could share with your readers and site visitors on learning to sew and generally becoming more involved in reviving traditional crafts.
I’m currently working as freelance researcher and writer and as part of this collaborate with a range of different art and craft sites to create guides and articles that share knowledge and information on sewing, needle crafts and art in general. Bringing back traditions such as sewing is incredibly important. We often, in the fast paced world we live in, lose sight of the world around us, and a lot of these important skills become lost in a life that is increasingly technology obsessed!
I’d love to share these ideas and resources with your readers, and after coming across your site whilst doing some research, I had the idea that I could write a brief introduction or article for you to post which will share some of the thoughts I’ve highlighted.
Please let me know what you think as I’d love to work with you on this.
With kindest wishes to you
Jackie
Hi, My name is Anna Herrera and I am interested in taking a group of teachers to visit your site. Can you send me any available dates and times for your tours?
I and another teacher from my school would like a tour of the creativity lab, preferably while a class is in session but not a deal breaker. Please notify me as to the schedule or let me know a Monday or Friday that is available. We are on sabbatical (and in classes the other days) and would like to see you in action before the end of the school year. I’ve made several calls with no response and now see that this is the way to set up the tour. This would be for your Oakland Elementary site.
Thank you!
Hello. I am a student majoring in Elementary Education at Cheongju National University of Education, South Korea, which is specialized in primary school education.
I and three other students are doing a project about ‘Maker Education’ sponsored by Korean Student Aid Foundation(KOSAF) and Korean Teachers Credit Union(KTCU).
In South Korea, we have faced a few problems of Maker Education and we have found out that “creativity lab” can give us a plenty of solutions. With an approval of those 2 organizations, we would get a chance to go to the United states for solutions of Maker Education in South Korea.
If you don’t mind, we would like to have an interview with you this coming summer.
We look forward your reply. We appreciate your consideration.
I hope I haven’t disturbed your weekend. Have a great day!
